SMI 3 - Idol Pick of the Week (Round 6)

As we near the culmination of the SM Idol 3 Challenge on August 29 at the Makati Parks & Gardens, it is time to reveal Idol Cookie's choice as Idol Pick of the Week for Round 6.

According to a test our winner took at Facebook, she was best suited as Princess Jasmine. Apparently though, she...
Aint No Princess by Lee Imao

Cookie "was captivated by Lee's page this time. I love the over all look of her page, how she made her photo blend to the vintagey look of the layout. I also love looking at the detailed clustering of embellies near her photo. And my favorite is how she did her hidden journaling. Love how that castle unfolds with the image still on the paper to reveal her beautiful and well expressed journaling. So gorgeous!!!! Congratulations Lee!!!"

And Idol Cookie cheers on the Top 10 finalists. "Congrats to the top 10 too!!! Goodluck sa finals!!!"

See you all on August 29 at the SM Idol Finals!

SMI 3 - TOP 10 Finalists

The votes are in!

Everyone showed grace and poise in their Disney Princess of choice.

The different techniques showed the kind of creativity these ladies have...

All the participants were creative and their layouts equally inspiring...

But in the end, there can only be 10!

And here are the ladies who will battle it out to be the next Scrappin' Moms Idol...

scrappinmoms-idol3(2)

They deserve a round of applause for a job well done!

But the battle is not yet over. They will go head-to-head on August 29 at Scrapfest 7.

Let us cheer them on! Show your support!

See you all on August 29 at the Makati Parks and Gardens.

SMI 3 - Idol Pick of the Week (Round 5)

I know you are all dying to know who makes it to the Top 10 of the Scrappin' Moms Idol.

You will just have to wait a little more as we verify the results that have just come in. We will announce it later today.

For now, I leave you with Idol Cabbie's choice for the Round 5 Idol Pick of the Week...

Mother Goose by Helga Vergara

Her unique take on the "Bookworm" challenge earned her this accolade from Cabbie.
"First, I love the way she combines her choice of papers! Very colorful and a little bit of shabby in style. Second, the concept of nursery rhymes in her mini book is awesome. I love the way she envelopes the rhymes and magically turned it into a mother goose mini with ATC's surely to captivate our eyes! Finally, her 4d mini book style is just so creative! A priceless treasure indeed!"

Great job Helga!

SMI3 Round 6 Gallery

This is the last week of challenges and thabnk you for such inspiring creations from our Idol hopefuls.

It's now time to see who answered the question... "If I were a Disney Princess..."

Lots of techniques to learn from all these ladies!

Tomorrow, we announce who will be the TOP 10 Finalists...

SMI 3 - Idol Pick of the Week (Round 4)

I know you are all excited to see the creations for this week. But, you have to endure a bit more before we can reveal the Gallery.

In the meantime, here is the Idol Pick of the Week for Round 4. This was Idol Cabbie's choice and the award goes to...

3 Monkeys by LG Belarmino

Cabbie said "it was a hard decision to pick the week's favorite because the theme's colors are my favorites and everyone's take was awesome! What caught my attention this time was LG's concept of the whole layout using her picture and a short journaling which tells all. The pocket insert for dried flowers and the balanced cluster of flowers is really cool! I also love how she positioned her round pictures which made the layout visually pleasing. The leaves and the flowers suited perfectly with each other. Indeed, a really playful layout!"

SMI3 Gallery Updates

Due to some unavoidable circumstances, we will only be able to start uploading the Gallery entries tonight. We will open it immediately as soon as available.

Announcement of the Top Ten Finalists will be announced within tomorrow.

Thank you for bearing with us.

FAQs on Scrapfest 7

Can I bring my kids to Scrapfest 7?
Kids may attend Scrapfest 7 but they will need to buy their own tickets. Based on experience, kids 6 yrs old and above can hold their own in these events.

Will there be food served?
Food is not included in the ticket price. A food concessionaire has been commissioned to provide for all your food and drink needs for the day.

What's the difference between a demonstration and a workshop?
In a demonstration you get to see how something is made, while, in a workshop you receive a kit so you can do it also. In our effort to bring down ticket prices, we have opted to conduct demonstrations instead of a workshop.

What do I need to bring to Scrapfest 7?
If you purchased a regular ticket (Ps500), you only need to bring materials and tools for the Scrapfest Challenge. The Challenge Kit already includes majority of the materials you'll need to complete the challenge. However, we suggest that you also bring the following:
  • paper trimmer
  • acid-free adhesives
  • alphabets for title
  • journaling pen
We will announce details of the challenge at a later date.

If you purchased a Shopping Pass (Ps200), all you need to bring is shopping money.

Will credit cards be accepted for payment?
Scrappin' Moms does not in any way participate in the sales of the individual sellers. Some of them might have a credit card facility available at the venue but we cannot guarantee this.

For other questions and inquiries please email us at scrappinmoms@gmail.com.
